  • This is great news! We welcome anyone experienced or not to join. The best way to get information is by contacting anyone on the Board of Directors page - specifically the Team Managers or Head Coaches.

    If you know you are ready to just jump in - simply fill out this Player Interest form and email your team manager when it is completed to ensure we get you added to the Team!

  • Our regular season runs from mid-February through mid to late May. It is a rigorous M-F practice and game schedule that athletes are required to attend. Registration opens on December 1st and you can register here!

    In addition, we do have preseason/out of season offerings throughout the entire year to help keep up the camaraderie. This is for our athletes who are not playing another high school sport as we encourage our athletes to focus on the seasonal sports they are currently in. If you want to get in on the action you can fill out the Player Interest form to get added to our Preseason Team (no fees).

  • Galena Lacrosse is a 501(c)(3) charity that supports over 90 student-athletes in learning the game of lacrosse and improving their skills in a competitive environment. As an unsanctioned sport, fundraising helps us keep registration costs as low as possible, ensuring that any student at Galena High School who wants to play has the opportunity to do so.

    Being unsanctioned means, we pay to play the game - a lot. Fields, league dues, coach stipends, film, travel, uniforms, events, senior celebrations, scholarships, etc. are all club expenditures. This is why we raise money.

  • Absolutely! We offer three different levels of sponsorship:

    Gold Level Sponsorship

    1. Banner displayed at all home varsity games for the current season

    2. Full page ad in the program to be distributed at the popular senior night

    3. *Individualized shout outs and links/tags to your business website via our Galena Lacrosse social media platforms 

    4. *Featured as a Gold Sponsor on our Galena Lacrosse Website with a direct link to your business website. 

    5. *Featured as a Sponsor on our checkout page for our annual calendar fundraiser.  Seen by hundreds of people in multiple states.  Only available to gold level sponsors.

    *Only available with sponsorship packages

    Silver Level Sponsorship

    1. Banner displayed at all home varsity games for the current season 

    2. Half page ad in the program to be distributed at the popular senior night 

    3. * Individualized shout out and links/tags to your business website via our Galena Lacrosse social media platforms 

    4. *Featured as a Silver Sponsor on our Galena Lacrosse Website 

    *Only available with sponsorship packages

    Bronze Level Sponsorship

    1. Banner displayed at all home varsity games for the current season

    2. ¼ page ad in the program to be distributed at the popular senior night

    3. *Included in our group sponsor shoutouts via our Galena Lacrosse social media platforms 

    4. * Featured as a Bronze Sponsor on our Galena Lacrosse Website

  • Yes! Your business can purchase an ad in the annual full-color program, produced in early spring each year.

    Your business can also invest or renew a color banner - we print and then display them at Galena fields and events held throughout the season.

  • Senior Packages are available and include a banner and senior send-off ad in the program, or player ads of a smaller size that can include a photo and up to 30 words

    Due dates are announced through team emails and on this website and are typically in February/March. Details are available anytime by emailing fundraising@galenalax.com

  • Yes, we do offer player ad space to showcase our amazing athletes in our annual program.

    This ad space is also a great way to highlight best friends who have played together over the years.

  • Corks and Brews for Lacrosse is our annual fundraiser and is a fun night of celebrating the Galena Lacrosse Club. Historically it is an adult centered event that is open to the community.

    Contributions are welcomed for a silent auction held during the event and are solicited through team emails and other community outreach efforts.
