CALLING ALL PLAYERS: Start Running.
We have a lot to accomplish this year. Do the following daily.
- Put your running shoes by your bed with socks, shorts/pants, shirt, gloves, hat.
- Wake up. Don't think.
- Put pants on one leg at a time. Next shirt. Rest of clothes and shoes. One step at a time.
- Eat something small on the way out the door. It doesn't matter what it is. Drink a glass of water.
- Run for 20 mins minimum. More is better. Run rain, snow, hail, sleet, or firestorm. Run in boots if you have to. Do at least two full-speed 100yd sprints in the last five minutes. Do not walk. The slowest you go is a jog. Waddle if necessary.
- Do at least 20 burpees at the finish. More is better. You have a lot of these in your future.
- Dry off, eat a good breakfast, and congratulate yourself for being an athlete. Have a great day.
- Repeat.
