2014 Galena Lacrosse Season Preview

The 2014 Galena Lacrosse season is underway. Both the boy's and girl's teams have started practice and are looking to reload after back-to-back '12 and '13 HSLL titles, respectively.
The girl's team has made great progress by adding nearly 20 new players to the roster and a new head coach, Brandon Riggs. Coach Riggs hopes to continue the winning tradition of the Galena Girl's Lacrosse Team in 2014 while bringing the program to new heights in the region.
The boy's team has also made a few changes. Following the departure of a 17-player senior class, the team faces some new challenges filling spots on the varsity squad. A lot of young faces will comprise the roster for the Grizzlies this season, but it's going to be a great year for the program as a large freshman class has entered the system. In an effort to bolster the skill level of the younger players, the team has brought on new Assistant Coach, Chris Mercurio. Coach Chris will be helping develop new players and get the JV team ready for competition.

Go Grizzlies!
